I thought I’d drop a long overdue review, as it isn’t often a homeowner spends money and thinks “Wow, this investment was life changing!” Solar screens were just that. Years of happy, valuable ownership.

Let’s give you some context – We live in Escondido with the entire living space of our house facing south. The sun rises into our master bedroom and family room, beats its way across the back of the house and sets into the master bath and living/dining room. Escondido is sunny and hot. So hot and sunny that we lived for months at a time with the blinds, curtains and shutters closed. We live on a hill in an avocado grove, our views are suburb… if the blinds are open.

After visiting friends in Vegas that had solar screens on all their windows, I was determined to have my own. What are these magical screens that let blinds be open when it is 114° (literally) outside? I found Mobile Speed Screens. I am so thankful, literally every day. The process was easy, all questions answered and an accurate quote delivered. Kelly showed up on time, dealt with more questions and was so patient as I changed my mind more than once. Kelly put up that first screen on a warm sunny day in Escondido and the difference was phenomenal, I was floored. Sold! I promptly added on additional windows. Kelly finished the install, cleaned up,and returned anything he moved to its proper place. You could tell from the finished product he takes pride in his work, every screen a custom fit. I was a very happy customer.

Let me share a few things:
1 – It’s now brighter in my house! Yes, the screens darken the natural light into the home. But as I rarely have to close a blind, curtain or shutter there is more light pouring in.
2 – My energy bills are down. Way down. Thank you!
3 – Free security feature! They make it harder to see inside the house. In this day and age that is a definite bonus.
4 – I can absolutely see outside. I watch the birds, I see the view, and watch the sunset. And I didn’t have to open a blind to see it.
5 – I highly recommend them. If you couldn’t tell.

Within a couple of weeks of setting up my installation appointment , the screen windows and 2 screen doors in my sunroom, were replaced transforming the space from worn, torn and unsightly to beautiful and fully functioning.
